Vivian Chu
Quantitative Analyst
Vivian joined Introspect Capital in late 2019, and her responsibilities include data analysis and risk management.
Vivian graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Central South University, China in 2014. While completing her degree, Vivian had the opportunity to attend the University of California, Berkeley, as part of an exchange program. In 2015, she completed her Master of Science in Quantitative Finance from Singapore Management University.
Not long after, Vivian began her career in Dubai as a quantitative analyst within the asset management department of Arqaam Capital at a time when quantitative roles were rare in the Middle East. Vivian’s unique role required her to source innovative data sets and find solutions to challenging problems. In early 2018, Vivian was promoted to investment associate and gained valuable experience in bottom-up fundamental analysis.
Vivian joined Introspect Capital in late 2018, bringing her understanding of both fundamental and quantitative analysis to the firm. This unique combination of skill sets makes Vivian an invaluable member of the team, where she leads the analysis of varied and complex data sets.
Vivian is a candidate for Level 3 of the CFA program. In her spare time, and when she’s not studying for the program, Vivian enjoys painting, yoga, and deep-sea diving. Vivian holds an advanced open water certificate and was engaged in CleanupArabia and AwareWeek campaigns where a team of divers clean-up dive sites and beaches to raise awareness around the dangers of marine litter.
